RIVER RYAN, N.S. – The host New Waterford Celtics kicked off the annual Jim (Fox) Chiasson Women Elementary College Basketball Event with wins at Greenfield Elementary College on Friday.
New Waterford defeated the Tompkins Tigers 32-12, and the Inverness Ravens 26-6 to safe their spot within the match semifinal Saturday morning at 9 a.m. in opposition to the Harbourside Roadrunners.

In the meantime, the St. Anne’s Cyclones beat Harbourside 22-2, Tompkin downed Inverness 56-4, Harbourside edged Shipyard 30-26, and St. Anne’s knocked off Shipyard 38-14.
St. Anne’s will play Tompkins within the second semifinal sport Saturday at 10:15 a.m.
The comfort sport shall be performed at 1:45 p.m. adopted by the championship sport at 3 p.m.
