Cape Breton Capers’ Osman Omar strikes into fourth place on AUS males’s all-time scoring checklist


SYDNEY, N.S. — A Cape Breton Capers basketball participant is climbing up the rankings on the Atlantic Univeristy Sport all-time males’s scoring checklist.

Fifth-year guard Osman Omar moved into fourth place on the convention’s all-time checklist together with his 1,707th level on Saturday towards the Prince Edward Island Panthers at Sullivan Area Home in Sydney.

The Mississauga, Ont., product moved previous Tyler Scott, who recorded 1,706 factors over his five-year profession between the Panthers and Acadia Axemen from 2011 to 2017. He performed a complete of 88 video games.

With two video games remaining within the common season this weekend in Halifax, Omar could have an opportunity to maneuver into sole possession on third place on the checklist. He is at the moment 34 factors behind St. Francis Xavier X-Males’s Fred Perry, who performed 91 video games for the Antigonish college from 1996 to 2001.

The all-time main level scorer is New Brunswick Reds’ Javon Masters, who dropped 2,407 factors in 96 video games between 2013 and 2018.
